Weekly Seminars March 26th & April 2nd

Our final seminar speakers of the semester both gave exceptional presentations.

March 26th U.S. General Services Administration

Scott Walton of GSA gave an enlightening seminar regarding the management of non-military government facilities. He covered the 15 facilities managed in the state of Utah from the historic Odd Fellows Building to the cutting edge remodels of the Frank E Moss U.S. Courthouse & the Wallace F. Bennett Federal Building in Salt Lake City.

April 2nd Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

Mike Moran of PNNL gave us an introduction to national laboratories and the high caliber work that goes in to maintaining buildings that facilitate million dollar research. He showed us the dynamic model they use to balance different aspects of operations. It was an exciting opportunity for our students to see the result of highly efficient facility operations.
