FPM Opening Social

We are going to be holding our opening social this year on Saturday September 19th from 2-3:30 PM. It will be held in the Snell parking lot, and is going to be a tailgate party for our BYU Football team home opener game!! There is going to be plenty of food, so please come and eat it!! We are also going to have some games to play, and prizes to give away. So come meet other people in the program and enjoy some time together!

Industry Advisory Council and Student Genius Compeition

The 17th and 18th of September marks BYU's Facility and Property Management Program's Industry Advisory Council. This event takes place annually and allows key facility and property management professionals, directors, and executives to visit with the program's faculty and administration regarding the progress and needs of the program. This is a great opportunity for developing the future of the FPM program at BYU. Among other items the new Sustainable Energy Lab will be discussed.

This year the Industry Advisory Council will include a unique aspect. The Facility and Property Management Student Genius Competition will be coming home to BYU campus. Students will be competition to solve a problem statement regarding "Sustainability in Existing Buildings" The competition will take place on Friday the 18th starting at 7:30am and going throughout the day until 5pm. The competition will be open for visitors to view the teams working and their presentations in the afternoon. It will take place on BYU campus in the main lobby of the Clyde building.

FPM Student Book Exchange

Become a member of the FPM book exchange and post your BYU course book needs and desires. You can also advertise books you are willing to sell or loan out to fellow students. To become a member email a member of the FPMSA presidency or the webmaster at administrator@fpm.byu.edu.

Fall Classes

August 31st marks the first day of classes for the 2009/2010 school year. The program is excited about upcoming events including student competitions and attending IFMA's World Work Place. We will be holding our weekly seminars every Thursday and are very enthusiastic about the stellar lineup of speakers for this semester. The new FPM student association presidency is planning great activities such as the opening social and our association representatives are gearing up for conferences, symposiums and golf tournaments.
